Moonee Ponds Baptist Church Mission Partners

We are very proud at Moonee Ponds Baptist Church to be connected to a range of missionaries locally and internationally, sharing the gospel and God’s love in communities near and far.

So although we live in an age of much change and complexity one thing remains constant and dependable and that is God’s love for all people. In the footsteps of many Christians who have come before us, we willingly seek to share the gospel and God’s love with others.

Our mission partners are currently located in Moonee Ponds and Bundoora.

We hold various events across the year to inform on the work of our Mission Partners and also to fundraise for them and their specific needs. Information about our upcoming events can be found on the MPBC Events Calendar.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Community Meal

Our local mission focus in Moonee Ponds involves a weekly Community Meal, providing locals needing a hot meal and/or connection with other local residents who are isolated and seeking interaction with others. The program involves a meal, a short message and an opt in bible study after the meal.

AFES

Our mission partner in Bundoora is connected to AFES (Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students) and is located on campus at Latrobe University. This mission partner has been engaged in this specific ministry for over 15 years and has been pivotal in helping many students come to know the love of Jesus and explore and grow their faith.

Filipino Ventures

For over 20 years , our mission partner focused on the Philippines was a family from within our own church community, who have taken and lead mission teams to various remote and vulnerable communities in the Philippines. Their focus was working with pastors and tribal people to provide spiritual, practical and medical support to communities in need.

This year Benny and Jomil have announced their retirement from this work. We acknowledge their great commitment to this field and wish them well in this next phase.
